Editor&#8217;s note:\u00a0<em>Janet McCabe used to be the head of IDEM&#8217;s air program during a time when Evansville and environs sought to improve air quality, particularly ozone in the late 1990s and early in this century. She resigned from IDEM when Mitch Daniels assumed the governor&#8217;s office in early 2005 at which time she became the exec. director of Improving Kids Environment.
